Why we are always interested in working offline,

1. We can work in the home and later submit our work
2. We are Workaholic 🙂
3. We love our job and we want to go extra mile by working 🙂
4. Get the extra praise 😀

Well you can plan or track the project in offline mode through working on SharePoint Project Task List and Project Server.

(Well i am like a Chef today so here is the Recipe)

Recipe:

Create a project Task List,

make some changes in the Project Task,

now open Project Server 2010, and in the File menu Chose New from SharePoint Task List

The Picture above shows the views from the Project Task List and Project Server 2010.

Lets See what will happen when each user on each Project Task List( SharePoint and Project Server) try to add a new task.

Now to  add task on each of the view, in my case i will add task Development at SharePoint in the Project Task List  and another task Development at Project Server in the Project Server View.

Keeping in mind that changes done at SharePoint end will be done at very moment, but we need to sync the Project Server to the SharePoint once we done with our changes at Project Server.

As you can see from the above the task list will be changed to current project plan.

thats how you easily plan or track your project while being away.
