well i was trying to update the Application ID URI to my appservice url. but it was showing the following error.
“Failed to update Application ID URI application property. Error detail: The Application ID URI must be from a verified domain within your organization’s directory.”
After looking it closely, i have found that the Home Page URL wasnt been set on the branding option in the App Registration, so set the app service url.
Try back again, That should resolve the error.

Sure. I was facing the same error as you when trying to set the Application ID URI for my App Registration: “Failed to update Application ID URI application property. In the Puublisher Domain, does it give you warning kind of icon? Try to update domain by clicking on Update Domain link
Yes I do see a warning icon. When I click on Update Domain > Select a verified domain > (My default domain). Nothing changes.
Is it required that I create a custom domain?
